Update am 16.08: Nikonrumors hat heute eine Meldung gebracht, dass am 24. August nur eine spiegellose Kamera vorstellt wird. Im September ist dann schon die nächste Pressekonferenz, möglicherweise stellt Nikon dann endlich die D800 vor.

Update am 22.09: Schreibt Goldtrader schreibt in einem Blog-Kommentar:

Spoke with a sales rep at Jessops today, he said he has spoken with a Nikon sales rep and she said the D800 and D4 will be announced on the 24th, she did not tell him any further details."

Es sind aktuell ziemlich viele Gerüchte und vermeintliche Fakten über die D800 von Nikon im Netz unterwegs. So richtig weiß man immer noch nicht was für ein Nachfolger auf den Markt kommt.

Ich habe mal versucht die neusten Quellen zusammenzufassen.

• Some retailers have reported the D700 is discontinued and will not be restocked (Best Buy).

d800.org hat auch eine mögliche Spezifikation der D800 im Programm. Inwieweit das mit der Wirklichkeit zu tun hat, wird sich am 24. August zeigen.

Regardless of the validity of the new features that will supposedly be included on the D800, it can honestly be said that this very well may be the most highly anticipated Nikon release in history, and will definitely be a day to remember for photography buffs in spite of the rumored $3,200 price tag that the D800 will most likely wear

Amazon wartet mit einem Handbuch über die D800 auf sich, allerdings ohne Beschreibung und Bild. Ich bin gespannt was für eine Spezifikationen die Kamera wirklich hat und wann sie in Deutschland auf den Markt kommt. Unter meinem Weihnachtsbaum wird sie ganz sicher liegen.
